The next CERT Basics class will be held in the January, 2019 in preparation for the 2019 Hurricane season.
The dates are Tuesdays and Thursdays: January 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31.
Class times are 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Location is the Hillsborough County EOC (Emergency Operations Center) Room 201.

The CERT training is useful throughout the year, and volunteer opportunities are available.
Recurrent training will be held, as well as updates on other disaster simulation exercises in the County.
STOP THE BLEED training is scheduled for Saturday April 20, 2019 - 1 hour sessions will be presented throughout the day at the Hillsborough County EOC (Emergency Operations Center) Room 201. 9450 E. Columbus Dr. Tampa, FL 33619
The class will be open to all CERT Members in the County, so let me know early if you plan to attend as we only have 25 seats per session. A more detailed schedule will be out in a few weeks so you can sign up. Our goal is to have al CERT members take the free Stop The Bleed training this year.
CPR class - ASHI CPR/AED Adult/Child/Infant for Lay Responders will be offered February 21, 2019 at the South County Communities CERT (SCC) meeting facility. Often wondered about the phrase “handling traffic” or “passing traffic”? Well wonder no more! On September 29th at 10am, Hillsborough ARES RACES will be offering a Message Handling Class. This class will teach you how to use the ICS 213 Form, from taking the message, passing that message to another ham and how to copy the possible reply. Hillsborough ARES RACES is pleased to announce the return of the Simplex Net. Many thanks to Tampa Amateur Radio Club for taking on this net and running it from their clubhouse located at 7801 N 22nd Street. The net will take place at 7:00pm, September 18th the frequency of 146.490 with no PL.

Hillsborough ARES RACES will be offering Technician and upgrade opportunity to General on October 13th and October 27th. The class will be 9am-5pm each day, the cost is $40.00. Both classes will be held at the Hillsborough County PSOC 9450 E Columbus Drive. Testing will take place on October 27th starting at 2pm.
